Lauren complimented Chelsea on her work when they ran into each other at Jabot. Chelsea asked Lauren if she could get some advice from her. Lauren happily agreed.

Later, Chelsea bumped into Adam and Connor at Crimson Lights. Adam joked that it would feel "awkward" if Victor and Nikki gave a clubhouse named after Connor. His son then requested him not to use the term "cringe."

Chelsea revealed to Adam that she was going to bounce something off Lauren. She told Adam that he couldn’t read her mind. Adam noted that maybe he could. Connor, having left the table, returned. He wanted to know what was going on with his parents. Chelsea suggested that Adam was getting ahead of himself. Adam said he was exactly at the right place at the right time.

When Lauren got to Crimson Lights, she requested a cup of coffee. Chelsea mentioned wanting to exit Marchetti and proposed that Sally might take over for her instead. This information caught Lauren off guard. She then questioned Chelsea about whether she had talked with Summer recently. Chelsea responded that she hadn't but added that Adam desired her to serve as his Chief Operating Officer. Lauren it's quite a significant time investment. "This could bring some freshness and excitement," Chelsea noted. She mentioned that such efforts might assist many individuals and extend further than expected. Chelsea expressed that she noticed changes in her relationship with Adam; they seemed more connected and had stopped engaging in trivial matters. Lauren commented that when parents collaborate for their child’s well-being, like how Adam and Chelsea handled Connor’s OCD, their bond often becomes even stronger.

Lauren expressed her confidence in Sally but questioned whether she could handle two roles simultaneously. In the tack house, Victor questioned Cole about his well-being. He noted that Cole appeared somewhat glazed-looking and mentioned that he had just one night to recuperate from his journey. Cole deflected It could be that he simply missed her immensely. When addressing Claire about her desire to live with Kyle, Cole inquired, "Are you okay with this decision?"

Before Vicki had a chance to elaborate, Cole started coughing violently. He apologized but insisted he was okay. "Your persistent cough suggests otherwise," Victoria countered.

Cole’s persistent coughing went on, and he attempted to divert the conversation. Vicki commented that Cole felt warm. "Why, thank you," Cole replied, attempting to minimize his symptoms. Vicki advised her former partner that he should consult a physician.

Cole attempted to depart when Vicki mentioned she would make a doctor’s appointment. Adding that if tea along with some pain medication did not improve his condition, he would have no choice but to visit a doctor.

Vicki persisted with her worry over Cole despite his insistence that he just needed to overcome the chill. Cole expressed a desire to check into a hotel room so he could recover properly.

In the company, Nikki inquired of Claire whether she felt at ease regarding her job performance. Claire mentioned that she also had several points she wished to bring up. Nikki then stated that their working day was over and expressed curiosity about what was troubling Claire mentally.

Claire informed Nikki that both she and Kyle had expressed "I love you" to one another. Nikki responded by telling Claire that Victor certainly knows how to be romantic. She further mentioned that her granddaughter revealed they and Kyle are currently looking for their own space.

Claire pointed out the shift in Nikki's expression when Victor was brought up. She recalled advising her grandma to listen to her heart. Claire expressed her desire to drift off beside someone she loves and awaken with those feelings intact. However, she also noted her worry over how her grandfather might attempt to prevent their relationship from progressing.

Nikki theorized that Victor He might resort to one of his defensive tactics. She volunteered to talk to Victor on Claire’s behalf. Claire expressed her gratitude but mentioned that she needed to handle this situation herself.

Nikki told Claire that both she and Kyle fully supported her, though it might take some time for Victor to change his mind. Claire admitted that she was concerned about whether time would improve or worsen matters with Victor.

Gently persistent, Nikki mentioned that she could assist Claire and Kyle with Victor. Agreeing to allow her grandmother’s involvement, Claire consented. Curious about their living arrangements next, Nikki asked whether they’d reside close to the Abbott family. Assuming as much herself, she sought confirmation from Claire. Responding positively, Claire praised Diane’s excellent work renovating the Abbott estate. She added that Jack appeared quite pleased with the modifications. "I suppose Diane managed to pull it off," remarked Nikki approvingly, adding, "That’s good for her."

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Billy and Sally He sat at the bar catching up. Billy told Sally that things wouldn't work out between Phyllis and him at Abbott Communications. Billy mentioned to Sally that Phyllis needs time to heal. "Are you alright?" Sally enquired of Billy. The executive from Abbott also noted that Phyllis might feel as though he took away her last support system. "She's really angry at me," Billy said. He then questioned whether Sally believed he had erred in his decision.

Sally mentioned that she doubted Billy would ever truly release her from his grasp. In response, Billy expressed similar uncertainty about letting her go as well. He highlighted that Phyllis struggled with seeking assistance. Additionally, he noted that he currently required finding an additional deputy leader. Billy sought after a person whom he could rely upon completely—one who could guide him effectively. "How about a fellow team member?" Sally proposed.

Sally told Billy that she believed they would form an excellent team. Teasingly, Billy responded to Sally suggesting she valued Audra's opinion more than his own. With suspicion, Billy stated he preferred not to discuss Sally and Audra’s relationship further. "We support each other," Sally explained regarding her bond with Audra. She admitted that both she and Audra had their fair share of errors—just like Billy did.

Billy shifted the topic to discuss collaborating with Sally. She mentioned wanting to consider working together at Abbott Communications. Sally acknowledged that departing from her present position would be quite significant. Billy assured Sally that her innovative spirit would be highly appreciated at Abbott Communications. Sally revealed she was mulling over this option and credited Audra for reminding her how exhilarating beginning anew could be. Billy joked that he too was fond of Audra.

Billy told Sally that he valued her opinions and contributions. Sally mentioned that what she cherished most about fashion was the satisfaction derived from bringing something new into existence and seeing it spread happiness among others. She enjoyed helping women feel attractive, self-assured, and empowered. Inspired by this, Billy became excited at the prospect of collaborating with Sally. However, she requested that he not rush their plans. When discussing leaving Marchetti, Billy interrupted and firmly stated "not 'if,' but 'when' you'll be departing."

Billy mentioned that it was sufficient that Sally was thinking about collaborating with him. He pointed out to Sally that she could be considered responsible because her insightful comments made Billy remember where his true passion lay—in media. "I’m excited at the thought of assisting you in producing something exceptional," Sally expressed. She assured him she would provide an answer but not immediately. "But please don’t delay too much," Billy asked. "Time is precisely what I lack currently." Afterward, Billy stated he would step back momentarily. However, within roughly 20 seconds, he brought up once more how aligning herself with him might prove beneficial for Sally.

When Claire went to see her parents, she updated Vicki about her talk with Nikki. Upon arriving, it looked like Cole was napping on the couch. Claire mentioned that Nikki would try to help them regarding matters involving both Victor and Kyle. "Best of luck with that," Cole remarked dryly between fits of coughing.

Vicki observed that Cole’s condition wasn’t improving. She informed him that he required something beyond just a cup of tea. Cole kept on coughing and eventually conceded that he should visit a doctor.
