Wichita, Kan. (KWCH) — A female resident of Sedgwick County has been honored for her courage in battling terminal cancer. experiencing her wedding day last month with backing from the community , passed away early Wednesday morning, according to confirmation from his family.
In December, Esther (Farrell) Furches overcame cervical cancer but was later told she had terminal cancer in February. Her community came together to support her and her then-fiancé, Nathan Furches. gathering funds for their journey and assisting them in reaching the altar The pair got married on March 8.

The love has been wonderful, extraordinary," Esther stated following her wedding in Cheney. "None of this would be possible without the support from our community. I am immensely grateful to them as their help is astounding.

Esther's father-in-law, Mike Furches, posted messages on various social platforms highlighting Esther's impact on numerous people. Additionally, he included this statement on the GoFundMe page:
...With profound sorrow, we learned that Esther passed away early today (Wednesday). I want to express my gratitude for everyone’s support and kindly ask for prayers for the family, particularly Nathan, who has now lost his beloved wife. As he shared earlier, Esther joins his mother, my late wife, who also succumbed to cancer. My heart, along with those who were acquainted with Esther, is shattered this day.
